Delta Sand
Most common sand for backfill. This sand has a high alkaline
content, so it should not be used for planting. Some mason's
use this sand to make mortar by enhancing with lime. This
sand is good for back-filling, filling pools, etc. It is approved
by PG & E as a trenching sand.
Dillon Sand
Dillon sand is salt free. It is good for sandboxes, back-filling
and is used as a source of drainage in soil and nursery mixes.
Dillon sand is also PG & E approved.
River Sand
A gray color coarse sand used for horse arenas and as a
base under concrete pavers. It is also suitable in stonework
for fieldstone and veneer wall applications where the joint
is not visible, or it is not critical to have a smooth joint.
Plaster Sand
A gray semi coarse sand used for tile and stonework, horse
stalls and arenas. Plaster sand is screened through a finer
mesh screen for better product consistency.
Brown Masonry Sand
This brown in color sand is excellent for mortar and cement
work. Great for sandboxes, brick, block and stonework.
