CASE STUDY: CUSTOM FIREPLACE MANTLE

Private Home, San Francisco Bay Peninsula, California
THE CHALLENGE: Fabricate a 14 foot long fireplace mantle from a single block of imported Italian limestone.
THE SOLUTION: Having one of the only large wire saws in the state of California and expert stone cutters on staff, Wheeler Zamaroni was called in to fabricate the mantle. The stone was shipped to Wheeler Zamaroni to be cut and finished. They were able to fit the block of limestone into their saw and not only cut the mantle itself, but fabricate the additional stone pieces that were required for its installation.  They then shipped the finished piece on to the home for installation. Twenty-one people were needed to carry the mantle into the house and install it over the fireplace.
